Tomorrow we're off to Edmonton for a couple days.
Have a bunch of things to do, and hopefully we can get to half of them.
One of the things I want to do is to stop by at least one of the Scrapbook stores.I've been buying online for so long now that I've forgotten the thrill of seeing new things in real, touching them and feeling the weight before handing off the VISA.

I promised myself a few months back that I'm going to be careful about where I spend my scrappy $$$, and that I will make a bigger effort to go to real brick and mortar stores for the majority of my purchases.

The kids need haircuts too before school starts next week, so I hope to take care of that, and perhaps cuts for Osh and I if we can.

We have something important going on on Friday morning which meant us hiring a babysitter through an agency we used once a few years ago. The kids are none too thrilled to have to be with a babysitter but I was told we wouldn't need more than 2 hours (probably less), so I assured them we'll be back before they even start missing us.

Cai is the most nervous.Every time I bring it up he just shakes his head and says "No, I wanna come you Mom".
That kinda kills me.

Ummm...Yeah!

Cooling Down

Finally!
I think summer is on its way out.
Finally!
It was way too hot.
And no air-conditioning just bites.

Not too happy about the start of school though.
I'll miss Rea lots.
And Ara...
on Mondays and Tuesdays.

A hodge podge of manufacturers and elements.
Love that Magistical Chipboard ~ yummy ~
And that super cute measuring tape trim from Savvy 'n Sassy ~ double yummy ~

Off to the park.
Have a great Saturday.

Boys and their Toys

Amazing how early the four wheel obsession starts.

A few pics from this afternoon when my two little fellas were feeling a bit better.

I need a new low lighting lens...b-a-a-a-a-ad!
Tomorrow Mum gets to shop for her new toys ;)

My Poopy Vomituous World

*sigh*

The short people here all have a bug.
The kind of bug that makes them just puke and poop without warning
Everywhere
All the time

Poor things
Poor Mom and Dad who have to clean up all this yuckyness.

Thankfully Oshean is on leave this week, so the extra pair of hands is so very needed.
But
We had a ton of things planned this week
And we've barely scratched the surface

Here's hoping tomorrow is better.

The Garage Sale went well.
Better than I expected considering it was so last-minute and not well advertised.
I'm going to be doing this again soon.
In fact we're thinking of having a general garage sale as well before we move.
Get rid of some clothes, house stuff, and maybe some furniture we'll be replacing.

One of my South African friends made me laugh when she said that the garage sale concept sounds amazing, but not feasible in S.A where a person would need to hire out an entire security company if they were planning on having one.

Unfortunately I think she may be right.

Scrapbooking Garage Sale

I'm down-sizing my scrappy stuff.
45 boxes is waaaaay more than this girl needs.
So things have to go.
Kinda sad though. Seeing my stuff go off to new homes.

*sniff*

After much tampering and tinkering trying to get a k-e-w-l banner like the other gals, I have resigned myself to the fact that I am challenged.
Very challenged.
In a P.C way of course.
That's "personal computer"
Not "politically correct"
'cause I'm so not
Poltically correct, that is.

Thank you for bearing with me while I was attempting to be all tech-savvy-genius-nerd like.

Hot...Hot...Hot!

Summertime in Canada is crazy hot.
Which is hard for non-Canadians to believe.
But it's hot.
Really hot.

It's been hanging around the 30 degrees celcius mark here for the entire week.
And we have no air-conditioning.
Boo-Hoo.

Trying to be selective

in everything I do these days.
Time is so very precious.
And it flies by so fast.

I want to make sure the time I spend with the kids are quality moments.
I want to make sure my "me time" is quality time.

So, I am watching what I do and how I do it.
I'm being super selective about what I read.
Reading stuff I really love.
Sounds silly i know, 'cause who reads stuff they hate...but you know what I mean.
So, I've been sticking my nose in some awsome novels.

I'm reading this at the moment and it rocks.

I havn't been a big television fan for a while now, but there are a few days I feel like vegging in front of the tube.
When I do that I make sure I'm watching something I've selected in advance.
Sounds anal I know...but that's me.

I have this in the DVD player, ready to go any day now:
Caramel

Trying to be selective.
That's all.

looking better than they tasted.

Our trip to Vancouver was sick!

Sick = fabu-tastic!

First off, we rented a condo in a high rise, overlooking the water in the heart of the city.
POW!
What a view every morning and every night.

It reminded us so much of Durban.
Without the crime, of course.
I'd love to live there.
Maybe I will :)
